Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Effect of Liquidity and Capital Structure on Profit Quality in Manufacturing Companies of Food and Beverage Subsector Listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange. The variables in this study were Liquidity and Capital Structure as free variables, and Profit Quality as a bound variable. The population in this research is food and beverage subsector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) from 2020 to 2022, totaling 30 companies. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling technique, resulting in a sample of 14 companies. The data collection technique used is documentation. The F test results obtained a significant value of 0.020 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted or in other words, liquidity and capital structure simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on earnings quality. Meanwhile, the t-test for the liquidity variable (X1) obtained a significant value of 0.005 < 0.05, which means that the liquidity variable has a positive and significant effect on earnings quality. Meanwhile, for the capital structure variable (X2), a significant value was obtained of 0.681 > 0.05, which means that the capital structure variable has a positive and insignificant effect on earnings quality
