Analisis Kekuatan Mekanik Filamen 3D Printing Sampah Plastik Jenis Polylactid Acid dan Polypropylene
Abstract
Waste from fossil fuels such as petroleum takes a long time to decompose, resulting in a buildup of plastic waste which impacts environmental damage. A study on the analysis of the mechanical strength of 3D printing filaments from PLA and PP plastic waste was carried out to recycle plastic waste that has added value and can replace PLA and PA plastic. Experimental testing was done to determine the mechanical strength of filaments from plastic waste. The material used is 3D Printer filament which is made from PLA and PP plastic waste which has been extruded in an extruder machine. The specimen process applies the CAD/CAM method and the printing of the specimen uses a 3D printer machine. The average maximum tensile stress on PLA plastic waste filaments was 16.47 N/mm² compared to PP tensile test results of only 14.63 N/mm². The bending test resulted that themaximum bending stress for PLA plastic waste material is greater, 112 N/mm² compared to PP, which is only 81.33 N/mm². The tensile and bending strength of PLA waste plastic filament is higher than that of PP plastic waste filament, indicating that PLA plastic waste filament is stronger than PP in terms of mechanical properties
