Analisis Pengaruh Water Wash Compressor Terhadap Efisiensi Turbin Gas PLTG MPP Unit TM 2 PT. PLN Batam UP Tarahan
Abstract
Improving the efficiency of gas turbines is crucial for optimizing the performance of Gas Power Plants (PLTG). One way to enhance this efficiency is through the use of the water wash compressor method, which aims to clean deposits and dirt from the compressor blades. This study aims to analyze the impact of water wash compressors on the efficiency of gas turbines at PLTG MPP unit TM 2 PT. PLN Batam UP Tarahan. The method used in this study is comparative, with the collection of average operational data 1 month before and after the implementation of water wash compressors over three periods: August 2023, November 2023, and February 2024. The results show that water wash compressors can increase gas turbine efficiency. In the August 2023 period, turbine efficiency increased from 90.032% to 90.046%. In the November 2023 period, efficiency increased from 89.850% to 90.058%. In the February 2024 period, efficiency increased from 89.703% to 90.045%. This increase indicates that cleaning deposits and dirt from the compressor blades can restore the compressor's optimal condition, improving gas turbine performance, airflow, and gas turbine.
