Analisis Efektivitas Kondensor Sebelum Dan Sesudah Overhaul di PLTGU Cilegon
Abstract
The condenser is a vital component in the thermodynamic cycle of a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant, functioning to convert high-pressure steam into liquid, thus making condenser efficiency crucial to the overall performance of the power plant. However, over time, the condenser's effectiveness can decline due to the buildup of scale and fouling, necessitating an Overhaul process to restore optimal performance. This study analyzes the effectiveness of the condenser before and after an Overhaul at the CCGT power plant in Cilegon, using a comparative method that involves measuring heat transfer performance at 65 MW and 100 MW loads. The results show a significant increase in condenser effectiveness, from 28.678% to 32.673% at a 65 MW load and from 32.429% to 42.629% at a 100 MW load after the Overhaul, which is attributed to reduced fouling and improved coolant flow rates. The study recommends the implementation of routine maintenance programs to maintain optimal condenser performance and extend its lifespan, while also emphasizing the importance of Overhaul in enhancing the efficiency of power generation systems in CCGT plants.
