Abstract

Motorcycles are a popular transportation choice in Indonesia due to their practicality, efficiency, and affordability. A key component is the center stand, which supports the vehicle when parked. This research analyzed its static performance using finite element analysis (FEA). Carbon steel AISI 1045 was utilized for its superior strength and toughness. Three design models (A, B, and C) were developed in SolidWorks and analyzed using Ansys Workbench with a 225 kg load. Model C demonstrated optimal performance with minimal deformation (0.0146 mm), lower von-Mises stress (27.27 MPa), and the highest safety factor (11.368). While Models A and B also met safety standards, they exhibited comparatively higher deformation and stress values. Thus, Model C is recommended for its structural reliability. Future research is advised to explore dynamic performance and experimental validation.
