Abstract

A hydraulic press is a tool used to press an object. This research was carried out with the aim of designing and analyzing a hydraulic press machine. This research began by designing a 3D model of a hydraulic press using Autodesk Inventor software. using the finite element method as a numerical simulation and providing several variations in loading, namely 800 kg, 1000 kg, 1200 kg with the materials used, namely steel and steel alloy. From the simulations carried out, there are results that show that the maximum von Mises value is 81.71 MPa, the maximum deformation value is 0.0722 mm, and the smallest factor of safety value is 3.06. From the simulation carried out, it can be concluded that the design of this press tool is declared to be in the safe category.
