This study aims to analyze the improvement of high school students' scientific literacy through the implementation of Socio-Scientific Inquiry-Based Learning (SSI-BL) on environmental change material. This study employed a pre-experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest design conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Kabupaten Tangerang. The sample consisted of 30–35 students selected using purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was a scientific literacy test combining multiple choice and essay questions covering three aspects: science knowledge, science competence, and science context. Data were analyzed using paired sample t-test and N-Gain test. The results showed a significant improvement in scientific literacy with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 &lt; 0.05. The mean pretest score of 41.33 increased to 70.33 on the posttest. The overall N-Gain value was 0.44 in the moderate category, with science knowledge at 0.59 (moderate), science competence at 0.49 (moderate), and science context at 0.25 (low). This type of research is a quasi-experimental. The research location was SMA Darussalamah Braja Dewa. The population in this study were all students of class XI SMA Darussalamah Braja Dewa. The samples used in this study were two classes, namely XI 1 as the control class using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model without additional media, and XI 2 as the experimental class using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model based on Quizizz Paper Mode. The prerequisite tests in this study used the normality test and the homogeneity test. Hypothesis testing used the t-test. The results showed that the average learning outcomes in the experimental class (79.66) were significantly higher than in the control class (65.6). However, students at SMPN 2 Hulu Sungkai demonstrated relatively low collaboration skills, which were attributed to teacher-centered learning practices. This study investigated the effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) within the Independent Curriculum in improving students’ collaboration skills and mastery of the Human Respiratory System concept. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design was employed. The sample consisted of two Grade VIII classes (25 students each), purposively selected based on similar pretest achievement and randomly assigned as the experimental and control groups. Both groups completed pretests and posttests, while the experimental group received PBL instruction and the control group received conventional teaching. Data were analyzed using an independent-samples </em><em data-start="1161" data-end="1164">t</em><em>-test. The results revealed that PBL significantly improved students’ collaboration skills, with the experimental group achieving a mean score of 4.16 (83.2%) compared with 3.00 (60.0%) in the control group (</em><em data-start="1372" data-end="1375">t</em><em> = 5.658 &gt; 1.677). PBL also significantly enhanced students’ mastery of the Human Respiratory System concept, as indicated by a higher posttest mean score in the experimental group (75.4; 84.0%) than in the control group (71.2; 72.0%) (</em><em data-start="1611" data-end="1614">t</em><em> = 1.787 &gt; 1.677). These findings indicate that authentic problem-solving activities in PBL promote active participation, collaborative learning, and meaningful conceptual understanding. Learning Biology not only requires mastery of concepts, but also critical thinking skills needed in solving real problems. This research aims to analyze the critical thinking ability of students in learning biology on virus material through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model at SMA Negeri 1 Pekalongan. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, with the research subject of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Pekalongan for the 2025/2026 school year. Data collection is done through observation, critical thinking ability test, interview, and documentation. Data is analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Research results show that the PBL model can improve the critical thinking ability of students on viral material. This can be seen from the increase in student activity in identifying problems, analyzing data, and compiling solutions based on scientific concepts. In addition, PBL is also able to grow a deeper interest in learning and a deeper understanding of concepts because learners are directly involved in the problem-solving process. This</em><em> study aimed to identify medicinal plants used by the people of Dusun II Damai, Perlis Village, Brandan Barat District, Langkat Regency. The research was conducted through an exploratory survey using semi-structured and structured interviews with 10 respondents selected through snowball sampling. The results identified 15 medicinal plant species belonging to 12 families, with Zingiberaceae and Myrtaceae as the dominant families. Leaves were the most commonly used plant part, and boiling was the main preparation method. These plants were used to treat various diseases such as fever, colds, allergies, cough, stomachache, cholesterol, toothache, bloating, eye problems, and to reduce blood sugar levels.
