https://scholar.ummetro.ac.id/index.php/edubiolock/article/view/11321

The investigation sought to reveal how the incorporation of Microsoft Sway within lessons on the human circulatory system influences learners’ critical reasoning abilities. An experimental framework was employed, emphasizing the integration of an electronic worksheet (E-LKPD) designed with Microsoft Sway into classroom activities. Participants consisted of eleventh-grade science students at SMA Kartikatama Metro. Information was obtained through assessments of critical reasoning as well as questionnaires capturing learners’ perceptions. Analysis demonstrated a notable rise in critical reasoning performance, reflected in an average N-Gain score of 0.728, categorized as “High.” Furthermore, questionnaire responses yielded an average score of 94.6%, signifying that learners viewed the use of Microsoft Sway in studying the circulatory system very positively. These outcomes affirm that the Microsoft Sway-based E-LKPD serves as a practical and effective medium for biology instruction, while simultaneously fostering the enhancement of students’ critical reasoning capacity.
Mila WintrianiDasrieny PratiwiAgus Sujarwanta

https://scholar.ummetro.ac.id/index.php/edubiolock/article/view/11323

The aim pursued through this creation lies in generating a viable instructional medium anchored on Google Site, while simultaneously positioning it as an alternative resource that reinforces present-day learning practices through the employment of digital tools. The framework adopted for this creation is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The sequence of creation involved verification of the product by subject specialists, layout specialists, and limited student trials. The findings revealed that the Google Site-oriented instructional medium attained an approval rate of 95% from subject specialists and 97.5% from layout specialists, both of which are classified under the “Highly Applicable” standard. Trials with learners likewise indicated highly favorable feedback, yielding 82%, which is also grouped within the “Highly Applicable” level. Learners’ feedback predominantly highlighted that this instructional medium was engaging, user-friendly, and facilitated comprehension. Accordingly, it may be inferred that this Google Site-based instructional medium is extremely proper to be employed as a forward-looking resource that strengthens the ongoing technology-driven learning process.
Dhevita Septia SariAnak Agung Oka HRA Mulyani

https://scholar.ummetro.ac.id/index.php/edubiolock/article/view/11324

The endeavor was undertaken to craft an instructional animation platform accessible via a website and to appraise its capacity in augmenting pupils’ cognition regarding the human reproductive mechanism. The procedure implemented adhered to the Research and Development (R&D) paradigm, employing the ADDIE sequence (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Participants enlisted in this endeavor encompassed eighth-grade learners at SMP Paramarta Seputih Banyak. Insights from the pilot phase revealed that the constructed medium exhibited remarkable feasibility, attaining validation rates of 98% from domain authorities and 86% from visual-media evaluators. Subsequent refinements were applied before the instrument was administered to a cohort of ten students, producing a notable elevation in mastery of concepts, denoted by a mean N-Gain score of 0.73, classified as elevated. The pupils’ appraisal of the medium was exceptionally affirmative, averaging 93.25%, thereby situating it within the “extremely feasible” classification. In summation, the animation-based website medium has been corroborated to proficiently foster enhanced comprehension of the human reproductive apparatus among learners.
Nabilla Nur AzizahHRA MulyaniAnak Agung Oka

2026-03-152026-03-15712333PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN MEANS ENDS ANALYSIS (MEA) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PADA SISWA KELAS X SMA NEGERI 3 METRO
https://scholar.ummetro.ac.id/index.php/edubiolock/article/view/11325

This research is motivated by the low critical thinking skills of tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 3 Metro, which is evident from their lack of active participation and difficulties in understanding biological technology innovation concepts. The study's objectives are to determine the influence of the Means Ends Analysis (MEA) learning model on students' critical thinking skills, and to find out which MEA model practicum-based or video-based is better at improving these skills. This experimental study used a Post-test Only Control Design. Two classes were randomly selected as the experimental group (practicum-based MEA) and the control group (video-based MEA). Critical thinking skills data were collected through a post-test and analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and an Independent Sample t-test. The results show that the MEA learning model significantly influenced students' critical thinking skills. The practicum group achieved an average score of 82.11, while the video group scored 77.71. This indicates that practicum-based MEA resulted in better critical thinking skills, although the difference was not drastic. The stages of MEA are effective in training students to explain, analyze, and conclude. Practicum activities encouraged active exploration and logical thinking, confirming that practicum-based MEA is an effective strategy for improving critical thinking in biology”.

Yustika Kholida RosdianaHRA MulyaniAgus Sujarwanta

The objectives of this research were 1) to determine the effect of Vermiwash on the growth of Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) plants, 2) to determine the Vermiwash dose that had the best effect on the growth of Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) plants, and 3) to determine if the research results could be utilizied as a reference for biology learning resouces in the form of Students Worksheets (LKPD). This research was experimental, using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Was analyzed using ANOVA. The study consisted of 6 replicates with 5 Vermiwash dose treatments, namely 0 mL,100 mL, 200 mL, 300 mL, and 400 mL. Observed parameters included stem height, number of leaves, and fresh weight of Pakcoy plants. Treatment 4 with 400mL was the best dose for the growth and development of Pakcoy plants. The development of the research results into biology learning resources in the form of 5M-based LKPD received a material expert validation score of 97% and a design expert validation score of 84%, both categorizing them as very valid. The conclusion of this research is that Vermiwash administration affects the growth and development of stem height, number of leaves, and fresh weight of Pakcoy plants, and the LKPD received validation from material experts and design experts.
Amalia RamadhaniMuhfahroyinSuharno Zen

Fruit flies (Bactrocera sp.) are one of the main pests that cause serious damage to eggplant (Solanum melongena), resulting in a decrease in the quality and quantity of the harvest. The purpose of this study was to examine the use of marigold (Tagetes erecta L.) refugia in reducing the intensity of fruit fly (Bactrocera sp.) attacks on eggplant plants. The research method used was a field experiment consisting of 2 fields, namely land with refugia and land without refugia. The parameters observed included the level of fruit fly attack intensity, weight and number of eggplant fruits. Data will be analyzed statistically to determine the effect of treatment on the observed variables. The findings of this study indicate that planting (Tagetes erecta L.) as a refugia significantly reduces the level of fruit fly (Bactrocera sp.) attacks on eggplant plants. The results of this study indicate that there are benefits of refugia plants on the intensity of fruit fly pest attacks on eggplant fruit. It is known that the analysis of the highest fruit attack intensity is in land without refugia with an average value of 60%, which is included in the severe category. The t-test results yielded a calculated t-value of 4.39 and a calculated t-value of 2.009. Fruit weight showed a calculated t-value of 11.46 and a t-value of 1.68. The results of this study were then implemented in the development of a booklet as a biology learning resource, specifically for sub-ecosystem material on interactions occurring within ecosystems for grade 10 high school students.
Anisau SholihahAnak Agung Oka Agus Sutanto
