THE EFFECT OF USING NUMBER GLASS MEDIA ON MATHEMATICS LEARNING OUTCOMES OF CLASS IB STUDENTS AT SDN SAMPANGAN 02
Abstract
This research was motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of students and the less optimal use of learning media in class IB SDN Sampangan 02 Semarang City. Learning in general only uses conventional learning that is centered by the teacher. Teachers must use learning media to create certain formulations that can attract students. An alternative that can be used is number glass media. This study aims to determine whether or not there is an effect of using number glasses on the mathematics learning outcomes of class IB students at SDN Sampangan 02 Semarang City. This study used a quantitative approach with a one class pretest posttest experimental design. The population in this study were all class IB students at SDN Sampang 02 Semarang City. The number of samples studied was 28 class IB students at SDN Sampang 02 Semarang City. The instruments used in this study were observation and learning outcomes tests (pretest and posttest) in the form of multiple choice. Normality test, paired sample t-test and one-way anova test with SPSS version 25. The results of testing the hypothesis using the paired sample t-test were obtained at 0.000 <0.05, so H0 was accepted and Ha was rejected. This means that there is a significant effect on the learning outcomes of mathematics by using number glass media for class IB students at SDN Sampangan 02 Semarang City. Media glass numbers can be used as a variety of learning models that can make students active, improve the learning process, interactions between students are more prominent, increase the ability of students to understand teaching material and require students to think, predict and calculate.
