ETHNOMATHEMATICS: EXPLORATION OF TRADITIONAL CLOTHES AND DANCE TRADITION OF KAYIAK NARI IN SOUTH BENGKULU
Abstract
This research aims to determine mathematical concepts that exist in the Kayiak Nari tradition Serawai tribe. This research was conducted in Maras Village, Bengkulu Selatan. The type of research used in this study is a qualitative reaserch with an ethnographic approach. The data obtained in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation. The data validity technique used in this research is method triangulation. The data analysis technique refers to Miles and Huberman : Data collection, Data Reduction, Data Display, and Conclusion Drawing/ Verivication. The result of this study indicate that in Kayiak Nari Clothing and dance, threre are mathematical concepts : the concept of geometric shapes, the concept of flat geometry Geometric Transformation, the concept of opportunity, the concept of Angles and the concept of number pattern.
