Penerapan User Experience untuk Mengoptimalkan Manajemen Stok dan Katalog Produk pada Bisnis “Frozen Fish”
Abstract
The rapid growth of e-commerce in Indonesia has increased the need for digital systems that support efficient stock management and transparent product information, particularly in the frozen fish trade sector. Small and medium businesses selling frozen fish products often still manage sales manually through social media or messaging applications, leading to problems such as inaccurate stock data, disorganized product presentation, and inefficient ordering processes. This study aims to design a stock management and product catalog system for a "Frozen Fish" business using a User Experience approach based on User-Centered Design (UCD). This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method, following UCD stages that include identifying the context of use, analyzing user needs, designing interface solutions, developing a prototype, and evaluating usability. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, using empathy maps, storyboards, and user journey maps to explore user needs. Prototype usability was evaluated using the System Usability Scale (SUS) with five respondents. The results show that the designed interface accommodates key features such as real-time stock checking, a product catalog, pre-order and promotions, and restock schedules. The average SUS score obtained was 52, indicating a marginal level of usability that has not yet reached the acceptable category. These findings suggest that although the UCD-based design direction is appropriate, further refinement of the interaction flow and interface consistency is needed to improve the overall user experience.
