https://scholar.ummetro.ac.id/index.php/mjvbm/article/view/12499

This study analyses the influence of job market opportunities, work environment, and financial
rewards on the interest in working in Islamic financial institutions after an internship among students
in Bandar Lampung. A quantitative associative approach was applied, with a sample of 100 post-
internship students selected through purposive sampling and the Slovin formula, and data collected
through a Likert-scale questionnaire. The data were analysed using multiple linear regression in SPSS,
preceded by classical assumption tests. The results show that, partially, job market opportunities have
no significant effect on the interest in working in Islamic financial institutions, whereas the work
environment and financial rewards each have a positive and significant effect; simultaneously, the
three variables significantly affect the interest in working in Islamic financial institutions, explaining
48 percent of its variance. Financial rewards exert the most dominant influence. These findings
indicate that, beyond Sharia values and the comfort of the work environment, financial aspects and the
clarity of career prospects remain the principal considerations for students in making career choices.
The study contributes to human resource and Islamic-finance research on talent attraction and offers
practical guidance for Islamic financial institutions in formulating effective recruitment strategies for
graduates
Okta Sari, Femei Purnamasari, Zathu Restie Utamie

https://scholar.ummetro.ac.id/index.php/mjvbm/article/view/12500

This study examines the effect of communication, motivation, and teamwork on employee
performance at Multi Paper Stationery, an office-supplies wholesaler in Metro, Lampung. A
quantitative survey approach was applied, with a saturated (census) sample of all 43 employees. Data
were collected through interviews, documentation, and a questionnaire that was tested for validity and
reliability, and were analysed using multiple linear regression in SPSS, preceded by classical
assumption tests of normality, linearity, and homogeneity. The results show that communication,
motivation, and teamwork each have a positive and significant partial effect on employee
performance, and that the three variables jointly exert a significant simultaneous effect, explaining
74.3 percent of the variance in performance. Teamwork recorded the largest standardised effect,
indicating that coordinated effort is the most influential determinant of performance in this wholesale
setting. These findings indicate that clearer communication, stronger work motivation, and more
effective teamwork are associated with higher employee performance. The study contributes to human
resource management research in small wholesale enterprises and recommends that management
strengthen two-way communication, recognition and goal-setting, and team-building to sustain
employee performance.
M. https://scholar.ummetro.ac.id/index.php/mjvbm/article/view/12501

The rapid diffusion of digital wallets across emerging economies offers a critical opportunity to
examine adoption drivers in markets at very different stages of financial inclusion. This study
develops and tests an integrated model combining UTAUT2 and TAM, augmented with Financial
Literacy and Digital Trust as antecedents, and examines Financial Inclusion Status as a cross-national
moderator, comparing a low-inclusion market (Afghanistan) with a higher-inclusion market
(Indonesia). Data were obtained from 150 active digital wallet users (Afghanistan, n = 100; Indonesia,
n = 50), and analysed using PLS-SEM with multi-group analysis (MGA). The model explained 66.1
percent of the variance in behavioural intention. Social Influence, Hedonic Motivation, Digital Trust,
and Financial Literacy were the strongest predictors, while Price Value was not significant at the
pooled level. Financial Inclusion Status significantly moderated the Effort Expectancy to Behavioural
Intention pathway, with markedly stronger effects for unbanked users. MGA confirmed significant
cross-national differences between Afghanistan and Indonesia, notably stronger effects of Effort
Expectancy and Financial Literacy in Afghanistan, consistent with its larger unbanked population.
The study contributes a two-country comparison of structurally divergent markets, positions financial
inclusion as a cross-national moderator, and offers evidence of cross-market heterogeneity for fintech
strategy. The dataset is illustrative and intended for methodological demonstration.
Karim Azizi, Ardiansyah Japlani

https://scholar.ummetro.ac.id/index.php/mjvbm/article/view/12502

The motorcycle spare-parts business is among the fastest-growing retail sectors in Indonesia, and
intense competition requires effective marketing strategies, including upselling and cross-selling. This
study analyses the application of upselling and cross-selling strategies for increasing spare-parts sales,
assesses employees' understanding and skills in applying these strategies, and identifies the inhibiting
and supporting factors at a spare-parts store in Metro City. A descriptive qualitative method was
applied through interviews and observation involving the owner and six employees as informants,
supported by internal and external factor evaluation and SWOT analysis. The results show that
upselling was implemented by offering premium products and cross-selling by promoting
complementary items, and that both strategies increased average transaction value and customer
loyalty. The internal factor evaluation produced a score of 3.20 and the external factor evaluation a
score of 3.54, while the strategic-position coordinates indicated that internal weaknesses and external
threats are currently dominant, calling for a defensive yet growth-oriented approach. The main
obstacles were price competition and limited use of digital technology, while the supporting factors
were product availability and customer trust. The study concludes that upselling and cross-selling
contribute positively to sales growth and provides a reference for marketing-strategy development in
spare-parts retail.
Jova Danuarta, Suwarto, Selamet Fuadi

https://scholar.ummetro.ac.id/index.php/mjvbm/article/view/12503

Monthly purchases at Happiness Cake Shop in Kota Gajah fluctuate because of shifts in consumer
preference toward other brands, inconsistent product quality, and suboptimal service quality. This
study examines the effect of brand image, product, and service quality on purchasing decisions at the
shop. A quantitative explanatory survey design was applied, with a sample of 100 customers selected
through accidental sampling, and the data were analysed using multiple linear regression in SPSS,
preceded by classical assumption tests. The results show that brand image, product, and service
quality each have a positive and significant partial effect on purchasing decisions, and that the three
variables jointly exert a significant simultaneous effect, explaining 60.2 percent of the variance in
purchasing decisions. Service quality recorded the largest standardised effect and is therefore the most
dominant determinant, with physical evidence as its most dominant dimension, while brand quality
and product durability were the most dominant dimensions of brand image and product, respectively.
These findings indicate that, although brand image and product quality matter, excellent and
responsive service is decisive in shaping purchasing decisions. The study contributes to marketing-
mix research for small food enterprises and recommends that the shop prioritise service quality while
sustaining brand consistency and product quality
Laila Nur Afifa, Suwarto, Selamet Fuadi

https://scholar.ummetro.ac.id/index.php/mjvbm/article/view/12504

This study examines the effect of digital marketing, price, and location on purchasing decisions at the
Hamidum broiler-chicken micro-enterprise in Depokrejo Village, Central Lampung. A quantitative
approach was applied, with a sample of 100 consumers selected through accidental sampling, and the
data were analysed using multiple linear regression in SPSS, preceded by classical assumption tests of
normality, linearity, and homogeneity. The results show that digital marketing, price, and location
each have a positive and significant partial effect on purchasing decisions, and that the three variables
jointly exert a significant simultaneous effect, explaining 21.0 percent of the variance in purchasing
decisions. Price recorded the largest standardised effect, indicating that competitive and value-
congruent pricing is the most influential determinant, followed by location and digital marketing.
These findings indicate that purchasing decisions are shaped by a combination of effective digital
promotion, appropriate pricing, and a strategically accessible location. The low coefficient of
determination indicates that other factors also influence purchasing decisions. The study contributes to
marketing-mix research in agribusiness micro-enterprises and recommends that the enterprise
strengthen digital marketing, align pricing with product value, and maintain an accessible and
comfortable business location
Lia Khasnaul Khairani, Suwarto, Selamet Fuadi

https://scholar.ummetro.ac.id/index.php/mjvbm/article/view/12505

This study is motivated by the decline in sales turnover in 2024, which is suspected to be affected by
unstable product quality, suboptimal discount effectiveness, and limited sales promotion. The study
examines the effect of product quality, price discounts, and sales promotion on purchasing decisions
for Mantili roof tiles in Kalirejo, Central Lampung. A quantitative survey approach was applied, with
a sample of 60 consumers selected through random sampling using the Slovin formula. Data were
collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire that was tested for validity and reliability, and were
analysed using multiple linear regression in SPSS, preceded by classical assumption tests. The results
show that product quality, price discounts, and sales promotion each have a positive and significant
partial effect on purchasing decisions, and that the three variables jointly exert a significant
simultaneous effect, explaining 94.1 percent of the variance in purchasing decisions. Price discounts
recorded the largest standardised effect, followed by sales promotion and product quality. These
findings emphasise the importance of continuous improvement in product quality, appropriate
discount strategies, and more innovative sales promotion to strengthen consumer interest and
purchasing decisions. The study contributes to marketing-mix research in the building-materials
sector and offers practical guidance for small tile producers.
Eko Pramono, Fitriani, Selamet Fuadi

https://scholar.ummetro.ac.id/index.php/mjvbm/article/view/12506

This study examines the effect of liquidity and profitability ratios on the firm value of PT Telkom
Indonesia (Persero) Tbk for the period 2020 to 2023, motivated by fluctuations in financial
performance and firm value that do not consistently reflect financial ratios. Firm value was measured
by the price-to-book value (PBV), liquidity by the current ratio, and profitability by return on equity,
using secondary data from annual financial statements published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
The analysis applied regression with classical assumption tests using Eviews 12. The results show
that, in this sample, liquidity has a positive but statistically non-significant effect on firm value
(significance of 0.771), profitability has a negative and non-significant effect (significance of 0.939),
and the two ratios jointly have no significant effect on firm value (F-probability of 0.934), with a
coefficient of determination of 0.127. These findings indicate that, over the short observation window,
accounting ratios alone do not explain the market valuation of the firm, which appears to be shaped
more by external and forward-looking factors. The study should be read as exploratory, given the very
small sample of four annual observations, and it contributes to the firm-value literature by
underscoring the limits of ratio-based valuation in strategic sectors.
Syafutri Agustin, Febriyanto, Nani Septiana

https://scholar.ummetro.ac.id/index.php/mjvbm/article/view/12507

Human resources, as the workforce, are inseparable from problems related to safety and health at
work, and occupational accidents impose substantial human and economic costs worldwide and in
Indonesia. This study examines whether occupational safety and health affect employee performance
at Fuel Station 21 in Metro, a high-risk workplace handling flammable materials. A quantitative
method was applied, with a saturated (census) sample of all 30 employees. Data were collected
through library and field research using a questionnaire that was tested for validity and reliability, and
were analysed using multiple linear regression in SPSS, preceded by classical assumption tests. The
results show that occupational safety and occupational health each have a positive and significant
partial effect on employee performance, and that the two variables jointly exert a significant
simultaneous effect, explaining 67.6 percent of the variance in performance. Occupational safety
recorded the larger standardised effect, indicating that safe working conditions are the more
influential determinant of performance in this hazardous setting. A pre-survey nonetheless revealed
gaps in safety facilities and health guarantees, and observation noted unsafe behaviours and health
complaints. The study contributes to occupational-safety and human resource management research
and recommends strengthening the use of personal protective equipment, supervision, and health
support to sustain employee performance.
Panggih Pambudi, Febriyanto, Nina Lelawati

https://scholar.ummetro.ac.id/index.php/mjvbm/article/view/12508

Field findings indicated that many visitors do not prefer Skintific products for their skincare needs, favouring competing brands instead. This study analyses the marketing strategy of CV Femina Lampung for increasing Skintific product sales. A quantitative descriptive design with an explanatory survey approach was applied, with 90 customer respondents selected through simple random sampling and a 20-item questionnaire, analysed using internal and external factor evaluation, the internal-external matrix, SWOT analysis, and the quantitative strategic planning matrix (QSPM). The internal factor evaluation produced a score of 2.55 and the external factor evaluation a score of 2.40, indicating a moderate strategic position. The SWOT analysis showed that the principal strength is the fit of the product with current consumer preferences, while the principal weakness is a digital ordering system that is not yet user-friendly and the principal threat is concern over online transaction security. The QSPM identified market penetration as the priority strategy (total attractiveness score of 13.42), ahead of product development (12.99) and market development (12.40). The study concludes that the marketing strategy has moved in a positive direction but should be reinforced through digital optimisation, trust building, and active social-media use, and it offers a reference for strategy development in the skincare retail sector.
Salsa Della Vivi Arfiany, Febriyanto, Ardiansyah Japlani
