Environmental degradation continues to demand education that cultivates ecological awareness and character from an early stage. The Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes the development of the Pancasila Student Profile, particularly in the domain of faith, piety to God Almighty, and noble character, which includes environmental ethics. This study aims to analyze the integration of ecoliteracy values in the children’s storybook Menjaga Laut Raja Ampat and to evaluate its potential as a character-strengthening medium. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with content analysis focused on textual and visual elements. Data were examined through four components of ecoliteracy namely knowledge, attitude, behavior, and cognitive skills. The results indicated that ecological knowledge is portrayed through local fishing practices based on biological principles. Ecological attitudes are expressed through emotional responses and commitment to marine conservation. Ecological behavior is represented by environmentally responsible actions in line with traditional practices. Cognitive skills are reflected in the protagonist’s ability to critically assess and internalize ecological values inherited from the community. These findings confirm that the book possesses strong potential as an alternative literacy source that supports the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. The story integrates cultural values and environmental awareness, contributing meaningfully to character education and contextual ecological learning.
Anggoro Abiyyu Ristio CahyoAndi WidionoWahyu Dian Andriana

This study aims to determine the effect of elementary science experiment teaching modules based on the Deep Learning approach on the science process skills of PGSD students. Deep Learning is an in-depth learning approach that emphasizes meaningful understanding through reflection, critical thinking, and metacognition. This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design involving 60 PGSD students divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group used Deep Learning-based teaching modules, while the control group used conventional modules. Science process skills measured include observing, classifying, measuring, communicating, inferring, and experimenting. Data were analyzed using independent sample t-test. The results showed that the experimental group's average science process skills score (82.5) was significantly higher than the control group (71.3) with p-value less than 0.05. The Deep Learning approach enables students to understand science concepts more deeply through structured reflection and critical analysis of experimental activities. This study concludes that Deep Learning-based teaching modules effectively improve PGSD students' science process skills and can be applied in elementary science learning.
Muhamad AlfarisiAndi WidionoMuhammad Naim Almarham

The decline of nationalism values among Elementary School (SD) students has become a serious challenge for school counselors amidst the rapid flow of digitalization. This study aims to design and develop an Indonesian History Visual Novel application as an innovative classical guidance medium to instill nationalism values in elementary school students. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Cross-disciplinary integration was carried out by constructing narratives using Indonesian language principles that are communicative for children, character-strengthening materials from the field of Guidance and Counseling (BK), and branching narrative technology from Computer Science. The results of material and media expert validation indicate that this application is highly feasible for use. Limited trial results show that the use of Visual Novels significantly increases student engagement and understanding of national values compared to conventional methods. Through decision-making simulations in the storyline, elementary school students are able to internalize the values of patriotism more realistically and enjoyably.

Keywords: Visual Novel, Elementary School Students, Classical Guidance, Nationalism, Indonesian Language.
Andi WidionoRetno FajarwatiImam Samsudin

This study analyzes the readiness of prospective elementary school teachers in designing learning modules using a deep learning approach. The research involved 140 students from the Elementary School Teacher Education Program at Muhammadiyah University of Metro. Using a descriptive quantitative method with survey and documentation techniques, the study examined three aspects: understanding of deep learning concepts, ability to design learning modules, and integration of deep learning principles. Results showed that 62.14% of students had good understanding of deep learning concepts, 58.57% demonstrated good ability in designing learning modules, and 54.29% were capable of integrating deep learning approaches. However, challenges remain in applying deep learning principles comprehensively, particularly in developing higher-order thinking activities and meaningful assessments. The findings suggest that prospective teachers need additional training and mentoring to enhance their competence in designing learning modules with deep learning approaches.
Muhamad AlfarisiAminuddin Maharani Abdullah

The Scientific Method Concepts in Science course in the Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) program is characterized by material that is not only theoretical but also requires practical understanding through demonstrations or practicums. Hybrid learning serves as an alternative solution that combines online flexibility with offline interaction. This study aims to evaluate the perceptions of PGSD students at FKIP UM Metro regarding the effectiveness of the hybrid learning model in the Scientific Method Concepts in Science course. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, involving 112 students as samples. Data were collected via online questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results indicate that student readiness is in the very high category, supported by adequate device ownership and digital literacy. The implementation of the hybrid model is proven effective in enhancing the understanding of abstract science concepts, minimizing misconceptions, and increasing learning motivation through the integration of LMS materials and empirical practice. Despite technical obstacles such as signal issues and cognitive load in time management, the level of student satisfaction remains positive. This study concludes that hybrid learning is an adaptive solution that creates a resilient learning ecosystem and provides crucial modeling experiences for future elementary school teachers in the digital era..
Ade GunawanMuhamad AlfarisiMia Cholvistaria
