MANAJEMEN KESISWAAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI AKADEMI DAN NONAKADEMIK SMP MUHAMMADIYAH AT-TANWIR METRO LAMPUNG

Abstract

This study investigates the management of student affairs as a means of strengthening academic and nonacademic achievement at SMP Muhammadiah at-tanwir metro. The investigation covers program planning, implementation, and evaluation. A qualitative descriptive case study was employed. Information was obtained from the principal, the vice principal responsible for student affairs, teachers, activity supervisors, students, and school records. Interviews, participatory observations, and document reviews were used to gather the data, which weree subsequently organized, interpreted, and verified through triangulation. the findings show that, academic development is supported by identifying student abilities, arranging learning groups, providing motivation and guidance, fostering discipline, and allocating additional study time. Academic outcomes are reviewed through written and oral assessments, comparison with established targets, and participation in OSN. Non-academic development is supported by recognizing students’ interests and talents, informing them about available activities, preparing facilities, appointing competent supervisors, arranging schedules, and monitoring discipline. Evaluation in this area considers participation in FLS3N, comparison with expected targets, and examination of factors affecting achievement. The study concludes that systematic and continuous student affairs management can support development of both academic and nonacademic achievement.
