About the Journal
The Journal of Hospital Administration and Excellent Health Service is an open-access scholarly journal published by Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro. It provides a platform for disseminating research findings, advancing knowledge, and sharing innovations in hospital administration and healthcare services. The journal brings together perspectives from academics, researchers, practitioners, hospital administrators, and policymakers to promote high-quality, effective, efficient, accountable, and patient-centered healthcare management.
The journal publishes original research articles, literature reviews, conceptual papers, theoretical applications, critical analyses, and evaluations of innovations and management practices in hospitals. Contributions address evidence-based decision-making, organizational performance, resource management, digital transformation, healthcare quality, and patient safety.
A distinctive feature of the journal is its emphasis on service excellence as a guiding principle in hospital administration and management. This encompasses the management of systems, resources, organizational culture, communication, and technology to deliver responsive, compassionate, professional, inclusive, safe, and coordinated services for patients and their families.
In alignment with the academic direction of the Undergraduate Program in Hospital Administration at Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro, the journal also welcomes studies that integrate Islamic and Muhammadiyah values, prophetic values and professional ethics, and local wisdom into hospital management. These perspectives seek to strengthen honesty, trustworthiness, accountability, fairness, respectful communication, and societal well-being in healthcare administration and service delivery.
The Journal of Hospital Administration and Excellent Health Service is published twice a year, in January and July.
