Aims and Scope
BIOLOVA: Jurnal of Biology Education in Magister Program (e-ISSN: 2716-473X, p-ISSN: 2716-4748) is an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research articles, reviews, and academic studies in the field of Biology Education. The journal aims to advance the field of Biology Education by providing a platform for educators, researchers, and academics to share their findings and insights. BIOLOVA is dedicated to promoting the development of innovative approaches, methodologies, and educational practices in the teaching and learning of biology at the postgraduate level.

All submissions to BIOLOVA undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality, accuracy, and relevance of the published research. BIOLOVA is published twice a year, in February and August, by Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro.
Types of Published Articles
BIOLOVA publishes two main types of articles: research articles and review articles.
- Research Articles
Research articles in BIOLOVA report original research findings in the field of Biology Education. These articles should include a clear research question, methodology, results, and conclusion. The article should also provide a detailed discussion of the findings, their implications, and their contributions to the field of Biology Education. BIOLOVA does not accept case studies unless they have significant educational or community impact. The manuscript length, including references, must not exceed 10,000 words. - Review Articles
Review articles in BIOLOVA comprehensively examine and synthesize existing literature on specific topics in Biology Education. These articles should critically analyze current research, identify gaps in knowledge, and suggest future research directions. The format and length of review articles are more flexible compared to research articles. Review articles are typically under 12,000 words, including references.
All published articles in BIOLOVA must adhere to rigorous research standards and ethical guidelines. The journal encourages the submission of innovative and original research that advances the field of Biology Education.
Publication Frequency
BIOLOVA publishes two issues per year: February and August, with approximately 10 articles per issue. The journal aims to provide timely and regular publication of high-quality research in Biology Education.
Language
BIOLOVA requires all articles to be written in English and Indonesia. Clear, concise language with proper grammar and spelling is highly encouraged.
Publication Charges
A publication fee is charged once the manuscript is accepted for publication in BIOLOVA. The publication fee is Rp. 350,000 or $21.44 USD. Authors will be informed about the fee once the article is accepted for review.

Our revenue sources include Article Processing Charges (APCs), which authors pay upon manuscript acceptance to cover publication costs. Institutional support from Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro and other academic institutions aids our administrative and technological needs. We may display relevant advertisements that do not compromise content integrity. Grants, sponsorships, and donations from aligned entities support initiatives like special issues and conferences. Importantly, our revenue sources do not influence editorial decisions; manuscripts are evaluated solely on scientific merit. We prioritize affordability, accessibility, and publishing standards to maintain transparency in our operations.
Advertising
BIOLOVA maintains a strict policy regarding advertisements. Only relevant and high-quality advertisements, such as academic conferences, educational programs, and research tools, are considered. Advertisements are displayed separately from the journal content, clearly distinguished, and placed in designated sections. Advertisements do not influence editorial decisions or the content published in the journal.
