Author Guidelines

A. General Writing Requirements

  1. Articles written for the Community Education and Service Journal is a scientific publication that addresses various aspects of community-oriented education and learning. This journal contains the results of community service and empowerment activities in the form of the application of multi-disciplinary science including social humanities, education, science and technology, business and economics, arts and health which aims to increase understanding, skills and capacity of the community. The manuscript is typed with Cambria letters, abstract font size 10, fill in font size 11, the article is written in space 1, printed on A4 paper for a maximum of 15 pages, last custom margin settings (top 2,5 cm; left 2,5 cm; bottom 2,5 cm; right 2,5 cm).
  2. The name of the author of the article is listed without an academic degree, placed under the article title. Corresponding author names are provided with the e-mail address.
  3. Articles written in English. The title of the article is printed in capital letters, upright, thick in the middle, with letters of 14, no more than 15 words.
  4. Systematics of the results of the research are: article title, author's name, agency name, e-mail address, abstract (ranging from 100 to 200 words containing the purpose, method, and results of service), keywords, introduction (consists of a problem, a community service program plan, and a theory used to solve the problem, implementation method, results and discussions, conclusions and suggestions, acknowledgments, References (only contains references referenced).
  5. Reference sources should, as far as possible, be in the last 10 years from international articles. Minimum 20 references. We will reject if the reference from the Indonesian article is more than 20%.
  6. Citations and bibliography use the American Psychological Association (APA) edition 7 style. It is. Recommended using Mendeley/Zotero/EndNote application in writing reference..
  7. All texts are reviewed by expert editors according to their field of expertise. The author of the article is given the opportunity to make improvements (revisions) of the text on the basis of recommendations or suggestions from the editor. The certainty of loading or rejecting the manuscript will be provided online through OJS.
  8. Everything that concerns licensing of citing or using computer software for making manuscripts by the author of the article, along with the legal consequences that may arise because of it, is the responsibility of the author of the article.

 

B.  Structure of The Manuscript

  1. Title. The title should describe the content of the paper. without Acronym or abbreviation. Maximum 15 words.
  2. Abstract. The Abstract should be less than 150–250  words; without citation. The Abstract section must contain the research objectives, research methods,  the results, and conclusions. Please provide the abstract in English versions. The abstract includes a background that explains the importance of community service topics, the goals to be achieved, and the identification of service partners such as a specific community group or organization. The methods used in community service must also be explained succinctly, including the main approaches or steps taken. The results of the service were delivered concisely but clearly, both in the form of quantitative data and relevant qualitative findings. The abstract is closed with a conclusion that summarizes the main findings and provides comments related to the importance of this contribution to the community or related fields.
  3. Introduction. It consists of the background of the community service program that has been planned, supported by references, and previous studies that have been carried out individually or in groups or teams. The introduction consists of a problem (one problem that is the focus of the study even better), a community service program plan, and a theory used to solve the problem. All cited or paraphrased sources must be written in a reference list. The introduction does not allow sub-chapters.
  4. Implementations Method. This section contains an explanation of the stages or steps in describing the solutions offered to overcome community problems (partners).
  5. Results and Discussion. This section section contains an explanation of the results of community service activities and, an analysis related to the purpose of the activity. Every result of community service must be discussed. The discussion contains the meaning of the results and comparisons with theories and/or research results/results of other relevant community service activities
  6. Conclusion and Suggestion. The conclusion should be an answer to the question or research objective and Should be written in paragraph. The Conclusions do not contain an iteration of results and discussion. The Suggestions present things related to this research or what will be conducted to further ideas from the research.
  7. Acknowledgment (if needed). Gratitude can be conveyed to the person who gave the community service grant (if the community service comes from the grant fund).
  1. References. The reference list contains a minimum of 20 references from primary data (sources from research articles in scientific journals and in the form of books) and other data sources (research/community service reports, news in newspapers, etc.) arranged alphabetically. The reference list uses the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th edition standard and must use Mendeley or other reference management.

C. Submission Instructions
