Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original and high-quality manuscripts that align with the scope and focus of the Journal of Applied Science Education and Innovation. Please carefully review the following guidelines to ensure that your submission complies with the journal’s editorial and formatting requirements.

1. General Submission Guidelines

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s Online Submission System (Open Journal Systems). Authors are required to register as an Author (and/or Reviewer, if applicable) prior to submission. In case of technical difficulties during the submission process, authors are advised to use the Contact menu available on the journal website.

2. Manuscript Template

Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the official MS Word article template provided by the journal (downloadable via the journal website). Please note that only manuscripts written in English are accepted for review and publication.

3. Peer Review Process

Each submitted manuscript undergoes an independent peer review process conducted by qualified reviewers with relevant expertise. The final editorial decision—acceptance, revision, or rejection—is based on reviewers’ evaluations and the Editor’s assessment.

If a manuscript is deemed unsuitable for publication, the authors will receive an explanatory decision letter within approximately three months of submission.

4. Manuscript Revision

Manuscripts returned to authors for revision must be resubmitted promptly through the Online Submission System. Revised manuscripts submitted more than three months after the revision request will be treated as new submissions and may undergo a new review process.

5. Graphical Abstract (Mandatory)

A graphical abstract is required for all accepted manuscripts. The graphical abstract should:

  • Present a concise visual summary of the article.

  • Clearly represent the main findings or contributions.

  • Be designed to attract broad online readership.

The graphical abstract must be submitted as a separate file via the Online Submission System. Alternatively, it may be submitted via email. If authors encounter technical difficulties during the submission process, they are advised to use the Contact menu available on the journal website (Please include the manuscript ID in the email subject line).

9. The Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI)

The Journal of Applied Science Education and Innovation permits the limited and responsible use of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools—such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot—strictly for surface-level language editing, stylistic refinement, and clarity enhancement. The extent of GenAI utilization must not exceed 30% of the manuscript’s content. Under no circumstances may GenAI be used to generate scientific concepts, develop arguments, produce research findings, conduct data analysis, interpret results, or contribute substantively to the intellectual content of the work. Full responsibility for the scientific validity, originality, and integrity of the manuscript rests entirely with the human authors.

The journal strictly prohibits the use of GenAI for fabricating, altering, or manipulating research data, images, tables, results, or references. The inclusion of fabricated citations, nonexistent sources, or AI-generated “hallucinated” content constitutes a serious breach of publication ethics. Authors must also refrain from uploading confidential, sensitive, or unpublished research data to publicly accessible AI platforms, as such actions may compromise data security, privacy, and ethical compliance.

Authors are required to disclose any use of GenAI within the manuscript, typically in the Acknowledgments section, specifying the name of the tool used and the nature of the assistance provided. Manuscripts found to exceed the permitted threshold of GenAI usage or to contain substantive AI-generated intellectual content may be rejected or returned for revision. While the editorial office may employ AI-detection tools for preliminary screening, all editorial decisions will be made through human evaluation in accordance with COPE ethical principles.

Editors and reviewers may utilize GenAI solely for internal technical support, such as language checking or generating brief summaries, and must not upload manuscript content to external AI platforms. All peer-review assessments and editorial judgments must remain fully human-driven.

This policy will be periodically reviewed to ensure alignment with evolving technological developments and international best practices. The most current version of the policy will be available on the journal’s official website.
