ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) POLICY
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy
1. Introduction
Jurnal POACE Administrasi Pendidikan recognizes the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to support research and manuscript preparation. AI tools may assist with language editing, proofreading, literature exploration, and data analysis. However, AI cannot replace human intellectual contributions, critical thinking, or responsibility for scholarly work.
2. Permitted and Prohibited Use of AI
Authors may use AI tools to assist with manuscript preparation, provided that all AI-assisted content is carefully reviewed and verified. AI must not be used to fabricate or manipulate data, generate false references, plagiarize existing work, or replace the authors’ essential intellectual contributions.
AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their manuscripts, including any content generated or assisted by AI tools.
3. Disclosure of AI Use
Authors must disclose the use of generative AI tools that contribute substantively to manuscript preparation, including text generation, data analysis, or interpretation. The disclosure should identify the AI tool used and its purpose and be included in the Acknowledgments section or a separate declaration. Routine spelling and grammar checks generally do not require disclosure.
4. Responsibilities of Reviewers and Editors
Reviewers and editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and unpublished research data. They must not upload confidential materials to unauthorized AI tools or delegate substantive peer-review and editorial decisions to AI systems. Reviewers and editors remain responsible for their evaluations, recommendations, and editorial decisions.
5. Editorial Review and Policy Updates
All submissions to Jurnal POACE Administrasi Pendidikan undergo the journal’s standard editorial screening and peer-review process. Suspected violations of this policy will be assessed fairly and may result in manuscript rejection or other appropriate action in accordance with the journal’s editorial policies. AI-detection results alone are not conclusive evidence of misconduct.
This policy may be reviewed and updated periodically to reflect developments in AI technology and best practices in scholarly publishing.
