FIRNAS provides direct open access to all articles on the principle of making research freely available to the public; support greater global knowledge exchange; and maximizing the visibility and impact of research, particularly in the areas of education/community service.

This means:

1. Everyone has free and unrestricted access to the full text of all articles published in FIRNAS;
2. Everyone is free to reuse published material if proper accreditation/citation of the original publication is granted;
3. Opens up opportunities for potential benefits to society, this can raise the profile of the author's research;
4. Open access publications are supported by author institutions or research funding institutions with relatively free Article Processing Charge (APC) payments for accepted articles.

Important Note: some articles (especially Reviews) may contain figures, tables or text taken from other publications, for which FIRNAS does not own the copyright or the right to re-license the published material. Please note that you should check with the original copyright holder (usually the publisher or original author), whether or not this material can be reused.
