Review Policy
1. Initial Editorial Screening
All manuscripts submitted to Counseling Milenial (CM) undergo an initial evaluation by the editorial team to determine their suitability for the journal's aims and scope, originality, novelty, scientific quality, methodological rigor, relevance to guidance and counseling, and compliance with the journal's author guidelines and formatting requirements.
Manuscripts that meet the initial screening criteria will be considered for peer review. Manuscripts that fall outside the journal's scope, fail to meet the minimum standards of scholarly quality, or do not comply with essential submission requirements may be rejected at this stage.
2. Peer Review Process
Counseling Milenial (CM) applies a double-anonymous peer-review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the review process.
Each manuscript considered suitable for review is evaluated by qualified reviewers with relevant expertise in guidance and counseling, counseling psychology, educational counseling, counseling services, or other related fields, depending on the manuscript's subject matter.
Reviewers assess the manuscript's originality, theoretical foundation, relevance, methodological rigor, quality of analysis, interpretation of findings, ethical considerations, and contribution to the development of guidance and counseling theory, research, and practice.
Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and evidence-based feedback. They must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts, and refrain from using unpublished information for personal or professional advantage.
3. Editorial Decision
The editor makes the editorial decision based on the reviewers' reports, recommendations, and the manuscript's overall quality and relevance to the journal's scope.
Possible editorial decisions include:
-
Accept: The manuscript is accepted for publication, subject to any necessary editorial or technical adjustments.
-
Minor Revision: The authors are requested to make limited revisions in response to the reviewers' comments.
-
Major Revision: The authors are required to make substantial revisions to address the reviewers' concerns. The revised manuscript may be sent back to the original reviewers for further evaluation.
-
Reject: The manuscript does not meet the journal's standards or is unsuitable for publication.
Authors are expected to respond to reviewers' comments carefully and provide a point-by-point explanation of the revisions made. Revised manuscripts may undergo further editorial assessment and/or additional peer review before a final decision is reached.
The final decision on publication rests with the editor, taking into account the peer-review reports, the journal's editorial standards, and applicable publication ethics.
4. Reviewer Selection
Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, subject expertise, research experience, and relevant scholarly publications. The editorial team seeks reviewers whose expertise is appropriate to the manuscript's specific topic and methodology.
Authors may recommend potential reviewers during submission, provided that the recommendations are objective and that the suggested individuals have no conflicts of interest with the authors or the submitted research. Authors may also identify individuals they believe should not review their manuscripts, accompanied by an appropriate justification.
All reviewer recommendations and exclusion requests are considered at the discretion of the editorial team. The editor retains full authority over reviewer selection and ensures that potential conflicts of interest are considered before an invitation is issued.
5. Manuscript Submission
Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the official online submission system of Counseling Milenial (CM) via the journal website:
