Licensing Policy

All articles published under the open-access policy of DECODING Jurnal Mahasiswa KPI are immediately and permanently available for everyone to read and download.

Articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License. Authors retain copyright of their articles while permitting others to share, copy, redistribute, translate, adapt, and reuse the published content, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate attribution is given.

1. Permitted Use

Users may reuse, reproduce, distribute, translate, adapt, and build upon licensed content in any medium or format, including for educational purposes and text and data mining, subject to the terms of CC BY 4.0.

No additional permission or payment to the journal is required for uses already authorized by this license. Adapted materials are not required to be distributed under the same license.

2. Attribution Requirements

Users must:

  • Give appropriate credit to the original authors and DECODING Jurnal Mahasiswa KPI as the original source of publication.

  • Include the article title, publication year, volume number, and DOI or source link, where available.

  • Provide a link to the CC BY 4.0 license.

  • Indicate whether modifications have been made.

  • Avoid implying endorsement by the authors, journal, or publisher.

  • Avoid imposing additional legal or technological restrictions that prevent others from exercising the rights granted by the license.

Attribution must be provided in a reasonable manner appropriate to the medium and context.

3. Third-Party Materials and License Scope

Materials credited to third parties may be subject to separate copyright or licensing terms. Users must check the applicable terms before reusing such materials.

CC BY 4.0 does not automatically grant rights beyond its scope, including patent, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights. Uses independently permitted by applicable law or public-domain status are not restricted by the license.

4. License Validity and Transparency

A valid CC BY 4.0 license is not automatically revoked merely because an article is corrected, retracted, or removed from the journal website. Users remain responsible for complying with the applicable license terms.

License information is displayed on article pages and publication files. Historical articles must retain accurate license information reflecting the terms applicable to those articles; updating the website does not automatically change the license of previously published content.
