Peer-Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Edunomia: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Ekonomi are initially screened by the editorial team to ensure their suitability with the journal’s scope and guidelines. The journal applies a double-blind peer review system, where neither the authors nor the reviewers are aware of each other’s identities.

Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s basic criteria may be rejected at this early stage without being sent for external review. Meanwhile, manuscripts considered relevant and potentially valuable to the journal’s readership will be forwarded to one or two reviewers for further evaluation.

Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editors will make a final decision, which may include: rejection, major revision, minor revision, or acceptance. In general, each manuscript undergoes review by one or two experts in the relevant field.

The reviewers’ feedback serves as the primary basis for editorial decisions, which are categorized as follows:

  • Revision required

  • Accepted for publication

  • Rejected

A manuscript may be rejected for several reasons, including:

  1. The topic does not align with the journal’s scope

  2. The manuscript does not follow the journal’s writing guidelines

  3. There are fundamental methodological flaws

  4. There is an indication of plagiarism exceeding 40%
