Author Guidelines

Thank you for considering Justice Law as the outlet for your scholarly work. Authors are encouraged to read these guidelines carefully before submitting their manuscripts.

1. General Requirements

Justice Law publishes original research articles and review articles in legal studies. Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published or be under consideration by another journal.

Manuscripts should fall within the journal's focus and scope and be written in either English or Indonesian using clear academic language.

2. Manuscript Preparation

Authors should ensure that manuscripts:

  • Are original and free from plagiarism.
  • Have not been submitted elsewhere.
  • Follow the official Justice Law template.
  • Are submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
  • Contain 6,000–10,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.
  • Use Times New Roman 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing, A4 paper size, and 2.5 cm margins.

3. Manuscript Structure

Research articles should contain:

  • Title
  • Author(s)
  • Affiliation(s)
  • ORCID (recommended)
  • Corresponding Author's Email
  • Abstract
  • Keywords (3–5)
  • Introduction
  • Research Method
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgements (optional)
  • Funding Statement
  • Conflict of Interest Statement
  • References

4. Abstract

Provide an abstract in English and Indonesian, consisting of 150–250 words, covering:

  • Background
  • Objective
  • Method
  • Main findings
  • Conclusion

Include 3–5 keywords.

5. Citation Style

Justice Law uses APA Style (7th Edition).

Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as:

  • Mendeley
  • Zotero
  • EndNote

At least 80% of the references should come from primary scholarly sources published within the last ten years.

6. Tables and Figures

Tables and figures should:

  • Be numbered consecutively.
  • Include clear titles.
  • Cite the original source when adapted.
  • Be of publishable quality.

7. Publication Ethics

Authors must:

  • Submit original work.
  • Avoid plagiarism and research misconduct.
  • Avoid duplicate submission.
  • Disclose conflicts of interest.
  • Acknowledge funding sources.

8. Peer Review

All submissions undergo:

  • Initial editorial screening
  • Similarity checking
  • Double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers
  • Final editorial decision

9. Submission

All manuscripts must be submitted through the Justice Law Online Journal System (OJS).

Authors are required to complete the submission metadata and upload the manuscript according to the journal template.
