MJVBM permits and encourages authors to deposit and share their work in accordance with the journal's open-access policy.

1. Preprints. Authors may post the pre-submission or submitted version of their manuscript (preprint) to a recognized preprint server or personal/institutional website prior to or during the review process. Authors must disclose any preprint deposition at submission.

2. Accepted Manuscript. After acceptance, authors may deposit the accepted version in institutional repositories, subject archives, or academic networking sites, provided that acknowledgement is given to MJVBM as the venue of first publication and a link to the final published version is included once available.

3. Published Version. As MJVBM is a fully open-access journal under a CC BY 4.0 license, the final published version (version of record) may be shared, distributed, and reused freely with proper attribution.
