MJVBM is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the Core Practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) — https://publicationethics.org. This statement applies to all parties: authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

Duties of Authors. Authors must ensure their work is original, properly cited, free of plagiarism and data fabrication, and not submitted to more than one journal simultaneously. All listed authors must have contributed significantly. Sources of funding and conflicts of interest must be disclosed.

Duties of Editors. Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on intellectual merit, without regard to race, gender, religion, nationality, or institutional affiliation. Editors ensure confidentiality and manage conflicts of interest, and are responsible for the decision to publish.

Duties of Reviewers. Reviewers assist editorial decisions through objective, constructive, and timely evaluation, treat manuscripts as confidential, and disclose any conflict of interest or suspected ethical breach.

Handling of Misconduct. Allegations of plagiarism, data falsification, redundant publication, or authorship disputes are investigated following COPE flowcharts. Confirmed misconduct may result in rejection, retraction, and notification of the authors' institution.
