All manuscripts submitted to MJVBM undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and integrity.

1. Initial editorial screening. The Editor-in-Chief evaluates each submission for scope, structure, and compliance with author guidelines. Manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin (similarity threshold: maximum 20%, excluding references). Submissions that do not meet basic standards are desk-rejected at this stage.

2. Double-blind review. Suitable manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. The identities of authors and reviewers are mutually concealed throughout the process.

3. Reviewer recommendation. Reviewers assess originality, methodological rigor, clarity, contribution, and referencing, and recommend one of: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.

4. Editorial decision. Based on reviewer reports, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision. In case of conflicting reports, a third reviewer may be consulted.

5. Revision and final decision. Authors revise their manuscripts and respond point-by-point to reviewer comments. Revised versions may be sent for a second review round.

The average time from submission to first decision is approximately 4-8 weeks. All decisions are final and communicated in writing.
