Review Model

PROFETIK applies a double-blind peer review model: reviewers do not know the identity of the authors, and authors do not know the identity of the reviewers.

1. Number of Reviewers

Each research article is reviewed by at least two reviewers with relevant expertise. Where the editors include an internal reviewer, at least one reviewer is external to Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro.

2. Stages

Stage Description Indicative Time
Initial screening Scope, template, completeness, similarity check 1–2 weeks
Peer review Assessment by at least two reviewers 3–6 weeks
Editorial recommendation Editor evaluates reports and recommends a decision 1 week
Revision Authors revise and respond to comments 2–4 weeks
Final decision Editor-in-Chief issues decision 1 week
Production Copyediting, layout, proofreading, DOI 2–4 weeks

The overall process from submission to decision normally takes 1–2 months and may take up to 3 months.

3. Anonymity

Authors must remove identifying information from the review file. Reviewers who recognise an author must inform the editor.

4. Non-research Content

Editorials, corrections, and retraction notices are assessed by the editors and are not externally reviewed.
