Author Guidelines for PROFETIK Journal

General Writing Requirements

1. Articles submitted to PROFETIK Journal consist of research findings in the field of Islamic Religious Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam). Manuscripts must be typed in Microsoft Word using Times New Roman font, with the abstract in 11 pt and the main text in 12 pt, single-spaced, on A4 paper, with a maximum length of 15 pages. Use custom margins: top 3 cm, left 3 cm, bottom 3 cm, right 3 cm. Manuscripts are submitted by logging in to the submission system. Users who do not yet have an account on the PROFETIK Journal OJS must register first.
2. Author names are written without academic titles and placed below the article title. Every author’s name must be accompanied by an e-mail address.
3. Articles are written in Indonesian; the abstract is written in both Indonesian and English in essay format. The article title is printed in capital letters, upright (not italic), bold, centered, 12 pt, single-spaced, and must not exceed 15 words.
4. Research articles are organized as follows: article title, author name(s), institution name, e-mail address, abstract (150–250 words, covering the research objectives, methods, and results), keywords, introduction (containing the background, a brief literature review, and the objectives), research method, results and discussion, conclusion and suggestions, and references (listing only works cited in the article).
5. References should, wherever possible, be published within the last 10 years. Primary sources, namely research articles in scientific journals or magazines, are preferred.
6. Citations and the reference list follow the American Psychological Association (APA) style. Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, etc.
7. All manuscripts are reviewed by expert editors according to their fields of expertise. Authors will be given the opportunity to revise their manuscripts based on the editors’ recommendations or suggestions. Acceptance or rejection decisions will be communicated online through the OJS.
8. Authors are solely responsible for obtaining any permissions related to quotations or to the use of computer software in preparing the manuscript, as well as for any legal consequences that may arise from them.
9. Accepted articles are published in print with p-ISSN 2747-2523 and online with e-ISSN 2747-2531 on the Open Journal System (OJS) at https://scholar.ummetro.ac.id/index.php/profetik.
