Reviewer Selection

1. Criteria

Reviewers are selected on the basis of:

  • a doctoral or master’s degree in Islamic education or a closely related field;
  • a record of publications in peer-reviewed journals in the relevant area;
  • methodological competence appropriate to the manuscript (qualitative, quantitative, R&D, or textual/literature-based analysis); and
  • absence of any conflict of interest with the authors.

2. Excluded Reviewers

The editors will not invite as a reviewer anyone who is a co-author, thesis supervisor or examiner of the author, a colleague in the same research project, or a person who has a personal or financial relationship with the author.

3. Author Suggestions

Authors may suggest up to three potential reviewers and identify individuals they wish to exclude, giving reasons. Editors are not obliged to follow these suggestions and will verify any suggested reviewer independently.

4. Reviewer Development

PROFETIK maintains a reviewer database, records reviewer performance, and issues reviewer certificates. Reviewers who consistently provide high-quality reports may be invited to join the Editorial Board.
